Overview
Kept helps you keep track of the things you buy, their receipts and their warranties. We built it to collect as little as possible: your items, receipts and photos are stored on your device and are never uploaded to us.
Your items and receipts
Receipts you scan and photos you add are stored and read (text recognition) on your device only. We do not receive, store or have access to your items, receipts, photos or anything derived from them. They leave your device only when you choose to share or export them, for example as a claim pack PDF or a CSV file.
Information we collect
Kept does not require an account. When the app connects to our servers it sends a random device identifier and the app version, used to keep the service working and secure.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, purchase or receipt data.
How we use it
We use this information only to operate the app and keep the service working and secure. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Kept contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
Reminders
Warranty reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. No reminder data is sent to our servers.
Third parties
Our servers are operated by hosting providers that process data on our behalf and only for the purposes above.
Retention and deletion
Kept has no accounts. Device identifiers are kept only as long as needed to operate the service. Deleting Kept from your iPhone erases all items, receipts and photos it stored.
Children
Kept is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update it in the app and revise the effective date above.
